Sponsorship and donation activities

Pražská energetika considers sponsorship and donation activities an important part of building a positive company image and reputation. The objective of sponsorship activities is to present PRE as a dynamic company, positively and openly communicating with the public. It must be added that the philosophy of PRE sponsorship in the conditions of a transforming economy and the gradual liberalisation of the energy market may not only serve publicly beneficial purposes, but may also play an important communication role. When deciding about each project, PRE also considers which target group to select and how the project in question will address it.

Selected partners who were provided with sponsorship contributions in 2005:

• S.H.S.A. Spastic Handicap Sport Agency – support of handicapped sportsmen,
• Respin (Kvítek – Flower Club) – hippotherapy of handicapped children,
• AKORD Short Stay Hospital – running of the short stay hospital for patients with severe mental and physical disabilities,
• Endowment Fund “Pomocná ruka” (Helping Hand) – support of people with health, physical and social handicaps,
• Association for helping handicapped children – support of the association in running the Community Centre “Motýlek” (Butterfly), in which the association integrates handicapped children into the society,
• Motol Faculty Hospital – support of dentistry department – purchase of a dentist chair for the outpatients department of children’s dentistry clinic,
• Helppess – support of a centre that trains dogs for disabled persons.

Advertising events in the cultural area were organised with the following partners:

• Radek Brzobohatý Theatre,
• GEJZÍR – Art exhibitions organised in the company seat,
• Writers Festival Prague – 15th year of the festival,
• Silver Screen – 60th anniversary celebrations of the World War II end
• “Ostrovy” (Islands) – 6th music festival “United Islands of Prague 2005”,
• “Fitness Styl” – 6th international competition “Miss & Mr. Fitness”.   

Sport sphere:

HC Slavia is a long-term partner of PRE and in recent years the company co-operates also with HC Sparta Praha - the second representative of Prague in the ice hockey extra league. PRE has also commenced co-operation with several football teams in Prague focusing on their junior teams. These are namely AC Sparta Praha, CU Bohemians Praha - and late but not last – FK Slavoj Vyšehrad.

In the sport sphere PRE participated in the following events:

• Advertising partner of HC Sparta Praha during the HC Sparta Praha ice hockey extra league match in the T-Mobile Arena,
• Advertising partner of HC Slavia Praha,
• General partner of FK Slavoj Vyšehrad,
• Advertising partner of AC Sparta Praha football – junior teams
• Advertising partner of CU Bohemians Praha football – junior teams
• Advertising partner of OZ Viktorka Žižkov – junior teams
