Would you like to report a breakdown in your electricity supply? Call the new telephone line 1236 which was opened in mid September by the Prague power company. This easy to remember line for reporting faults is open 24 hours.
- Electric cars consume the first megawatt hour of electricity in the Capital City
There is growing interest in electromobility in the Capital City. So the Prague power company workers continue to construct an infrastructure and have put the eighth charging station into operation. This is available in the garages of the Europark Štěrboholy shopping centre.
- PRE supplied a record number of large customers with electricity last year
Last year was marked by a gradual recovery of the Czech economy after the global recession in 2009, which was also positively projected in the economy of the PRE Group. The company’s profit for 2010 increased by 4.8 % compared with the previous year above all due to savings in operating costs. The total volume of supplied electricity increased by 1.7 % and the amount supplied to large customers reached a record number. The company invested more than 1.6 billion crowns in the development and repair of the power grid. At yesterday’s general meeting shareholders approved the economic results of PRE for 2010, a change to the Articles of Association and the exclusion of the Company’s shares from trading on the stock market.
- In Prague an electric bike rent service was launched
Prague, 17.6.2011. The PREkolo specialised electric bike rent service was opened in the very centre of the Capital City next to Prague’s Mánes gallery. This is the project of Pražská energetika (PRE) and ekolo.cz – a Czech manufacturer of electric bikes.
