In Prague an electric bike rent service was launched

So Prague is the next city after Berlin, Barcelona, London and Paris where similar rent services already operate, mostly for tourists who can see the sights of the entire city in a couple of hours on an electrically driven bicycle. The PREkolo rent service is also available to Czech customers and offers the renting of a bike for up to 14 days. "The hilly terrain of Prague is difficult to reach for an untrained cyclist, but thanks to an electric bike it is possible to visit all the beautiful sights of the city from a perspective that public transport or a sightseeing bus cannot offer," says the executive of ekolo.cz, Jakub Ditrich, and continues: "we have also prepared two guided sightseeing tours in German and English for tourists."

Pražská energetika, a.s. CEO Pavel Elis said: "We have been renting electric bikes for short-term tests at our Energy Advisory Centre for more than half a year and the interest is extraordinary. Therefore we want to make electric bikes even more available to Prague residents as a convenient means of transport not just for travelling around the city, but also for use at weekends. We offer customers who receive their electricity from PRE a rent service under more advantageous conditions so we can help to extend the use of electric bikes in our city."

The PREkolo rent service is one of the activities of the E-mobility project by which Pražská energetika promotes the use of electric cars, electric scooters as well as electric bikes and contributes to the development of the network of charging stations as part of the Electromobile Prague Project.
