Emergency Line

Electricity

What you should know before you call the Emergency Line?

Removing a breakdown can be so much easier if you can try to locate the place of the malfunction. If you do not have an expert to hand, you can use our short instruction manual. Please note that distribution workers only remove breakdowns in the distributor’s network. Private firms deal with breakdowns in internal installations and maintenance of gas consumption equipment.

Procedure:

  • Check the condition of the main circuit-breaker in front of the electricity meter, or whether the protection of individual circuits in an apartment is in order
  • Check whether your electricity meter is working. If you have a digital electricity meter, digital numbers must be seen on the display
  • Check whether the neighbouring apartment or neighbouring building has the same breakdown.

If it is obvious that this is a more extensive power cut, we recommend that you contact the Emergency Line in 20 to 30 minutes. After this time we will be able to provide more information about the breakdown.

Gas

What you should know before you call the Emergency Line?

Removing a breakdown can be so much easier if you can try to locate the place of the malfunction. If you do not have an expert to hand, you can use our short instruction manual. Please note that distribution workers only remove breakdowns in the distributor’s network. Private firms deal with breakdowns in internal installations and maintenance of gas consumption equipment.

Procedure:

  • Check whether the main gas valve (MGV) is closed.
  • Check to see whether the other gas appliances are working. If they are working the cause could lie in your gas appliance (faults on gas appliances and house pipes are handled by the emergency service by shutting off the main gas valve so there is no further damage).
